Abstract

Education and social class are closely related characteristics that greatly impact a person's life chances, social standing, and prospects for advancement. A fundamental strategy for personal growth and decreasing social inequities in contemporary society is education. The advantages of education and the opportunities to pursue them are, however, frequently influenced by socioeconomic status. Unequal educational opportunities can be caused by differences in parental education, cultural resources, social networks, family income, and children's access to these factors. As a result, children from lower-income families may find it more difficult to climb the social ladder. the sociological viewpoint on the connection between socioeconomic status, educational attainment, and career advancement prospects. factors that affect a person's ability to get a degree, how well they do in school, and what jobs they may be able to get. The multi-faceted roles played by schools in fostering social mobility and reinforcing existing inequality. Educational results among people of diverse socioeconomic origins are examined with a focus on variables including financial resources, cultural capital, school quality, educational goals, and social support networks.
