The Predictive Ability of Psychological Capital on Organizational Integrity among Sonatrach Workers: A Field Study at Berkawi Basin – Ouargla

The present study aimed to identify the level of psychological capital and organizational virtuousness among workers at Sonatrach Company in the Berkawi Basin, Ouargla, as well as to examine the predictive ability of psychological capital on organizational virtuousness. It also sought to investigate differences in psychological capital and organizational virtuousness according to the variable of work seniority. The study adopted the descriptive correlational method. To achieve its objectives, the researcher used the Psychological Capital Scale developed by Wari Hassan (2023) and the Organizational Virtuousness Scale developed by Abu Shukair Zahra Jamal Sabri (2018). After verifying the psychometric properties of the two instruments, they were administered to a sample of 200 workers from Sonatrach Company in the Berkawi Basin, Ouargla. The findings revealed that the levels of psychological capital and organizational virtuousness were high among the study sample. The results also showed that organizational virtuousness could be significantly predicted through three dimensions of psychological capital, namely resilience, optimism, and hope. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were found in psychological capital and organizational virtuousness according to work seniority.
