AI At the Service of Algerian Universities: Automated Correction Between Precision, Simplicity and Versatility

This research examines the contribution of artificial intelligence to the automation of exam correction in Algerian universities, faced with student mass growth. The empirical study, carried out with 100 teachers on 500 copies, shows that the effectiveness of automated correction is based on two key factors: the analytical precision of the AI and, above all, its ease of use. These two dimensions condition both the credibility of the results and the support of the correctors.
On the other hand, the versatility of the tool does not demonstrate a significant effect on the effectiveness of the correction, inviting us to refocus efforts on ergonomics and contextual adaptation rather than on an overkill of functionalities.
If the study confirms the potential of AI to gain in efficiency and objectivity, it underlines that its generalization in Algeria requires strengthening of infrastructure, training of teachers and adaptation of algorithms to the local context, in order to guarantee sustainable educational and ethical integration.
